I was pleased to hear that my last album swing 41 has sold out at GDC (the international music distribution center). They have only one copy left.
This pleased me greatly as I have not been able to do much in the way of promotion since having problems with the line up of the band early this year.
Not to worry though, I have hundreds left in the basement and I will rush some out to GDC next week. As for the band, plans are under way to set some concerts up with some more wonderful musicians.
This is a beautiful album.
If you like Gypsy Swing, you will like this CD. But don’t expect any fireworks. The playing is at times extraordinarily good, especially from the violinist (Jørgen Martinsen), but the overall feel is of a band, relaxing, enjoying listening to each other and not having anything to prove.
And yes, I am biased.
